Service-oriented social networks to support a flexible multi-agent supply chain with modern enterprise resource planning systems
Inter-company communication is one of the key topics in modern Supply Chain Management Strategies. A competitive edge with respect to other businesses can be attained only through the fast, reliable, and flexible establishment of new supply and demand channels.
The following project will address precisely these points. Building on an analysis of potential Middleware Systems for Supply Chain Management, this project will propose a multi-agent system designed for agile adaptation to new market situations. On the basis of current developments in Supply Chain Management, Multi-Agent Architecture, and Swarm Intelligence, a virtual market will emerge. This market will be dominated not by one company, but rather evenly distributed among numerous companies through a Peer-to-Peer System.
